I’ve been using Aquasilk peroxide for a few years. Works great! It’s usually easy to locate and buy at local pool supply stores.I’m pretty sure 1 gallon comes out at $20. I haven’t checked recently but I remember it being 28% and definitely better/stronger than beauty supply type peroxide.

really, really careful

Drum from Brentag for 3oo delivered. I can get it from a local supplier for 20 a gallon. It’s the real deal not the Sally’s stuff , which is really only 12%. Beware it hurts on the hands and dont get it in your eyes.

Dont Put Hydrogen Peroxide On Acne

Peroxide kills germs, and you may have acne treatments that contain benzoyl peroxide. But hydrogen peroxide and benzoyl peroxide are not the same. Dont use hydrogen peroxide for acne.

As Dr. Beers explains, Hydrogen peroxide can be irritating, which can make acne worse. And it dissolves in water. So the germ-killing effects dont last long on the skin. Benzoyl peroxide forms a film on the skin so it can penetrate the pore and continue to fight acne bacteria for several hours.

Use products with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid for acne breakouts. If breakouts still wont take a hike, see your doctor.

There are some types of peroxide that are sold in other concentrations, besides 3% and 35%. I suppose this is so that we can all practice our math and keep up on fractions? Seriously, it can get a little confusing, and sometimes I have to stop and sit down and think it all over.

Cosmetics grade peroxide usually comes in 3% to 12% concentrations. And cosmetics grade peroxide is often labeled as things like “V10” of “V40”. These are also statements of concentration. V10 is 3% and V40 is 12%.

There are also some applications where hydrogen peroxide is measured in PPM , for instance in water treatment.

For home use 35% is the strongest concentration that I’m aware of that is sold, used or stored.

May Lead To Nutrient Deficiencies

Since the keto diet restricts several foods, especially nutrient-dense fruits, whole grains, and legumes, it may fail to provide recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals.

In particular, some studies suggest that the keto diet doesnt provide enough calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, and phosphorus .

A study that evaluated the nutrient composition of common diets revealed that very low carb eating patterns like Atkins, which is similar to keto, provided sufficient amounts for only 12 of the 27 vitamins and minerals your body needs to obtain from food .

Over time, this may lead to nutrient deficiencies.

Notably, guidelines for clinicians who manage people on a very low calorie keto diet for weight loss recommend supplementing with potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, psyllium fiber, and vitamins B, C, and E .

Keep in mind that the nutritional adequacy of this diet depends on the specific foods that you eat. A diet rich in healthy low carb foods, such as avocados, nuts, and non-starchy vegetables, provides more nutrients than processed meats and keto treats.

Some studies suggest that keto provides insufficient vitamins and minerals, including potassium and magnesium. Over time, this could lead to nutrient deficiencies.

Is A Ketogenic Diet Safe Long Term

When compared to the health risks of being very overweight and the opportunity to prevent lifestyle diseases like diabetes and cancer then yes, it is very safe. However, the long term effectiveness in the general population has not yet been established. Having said that the long term effectiveness of many pharmaceutical drugs has also not been established either most of them are only tested for relatively short periods of time. So what is truly safe? There is always a risk/benefit balance, even when crossing the road or driving a car. The keto diet helps you take responsibility for your health and supports you to get rid of addictive and toxic foods and learn more about your bodys physiological needs. Is that safer than processed food and watching TV? Yes it is, there is plenty of data to prove this already! You are the only one who can decide what is best for your health. Long term health requires education, reflection and active choices. Taking charge of your health in whichever way feels right to you is the safest thing you can do.Continue reading > >

Disadvantages Of The Keto Diet

1. May impact on the liver and kidneys

Some animal studies have found that the KD can contribute to triglyceride accumulation and markers of liver inflammation, possibly because of the higher protein and fat content of the diet compared to other commonly recommended diets .

Researchers believe that genetics likely plays a role here, making some people more susceptible to liver problems when following low-carb, high-fat diets. Is the keto diet bad for your kidneys? According to an article released by Harvard Medical School, Patients with kidney disease need to be cautious because this diet could worsen their condition.

2. May not lead to improved insulin sensitivity long-term

Is the keto diet safe for diabetics? Most research shows that yes, it is. However, even though the KD can help reduce insulin resistance while someone adheres to the diets principles and strictly limits their carb intake, these positive effects may be short-lasting. Results from some animal studies show that insulin resistance/glucose intolerance may potentially be increased once carbs are reintroduced back into the diet.

However, other studies show the opposite to be true, especially among severely obese adults. Researchers, therefore, state that the effects of the keto diet on glucose homeostasis remains controversial and depends on the presence of type 2 diabetes before starting the diet, as well as genetic factors.

3. Can cause side effects

4. Might be difficult to maintain weight loss

Is Keto Safe Long Term?

One of the most common nutrition questions is keto, or the ketogenic diet, safe long-term. Prof Grant Schofield and Dr Caryn Zinn answer this question here.

What we do know is this low-carbohydrate diets, including ketogenic diets, improve peoples health, and every known risk factor for their health, in the right direction. The glucose and the insulin in your blood will decrease. The overall picture of fats in your blood will improve, inflammatory markers will improve and your weight will generally go down.

Prof Grant Schofield and Dr Caryn Zinn answer the Top 10 Nutrition Questions. This article covers question 10: Is keto safe? View questions 1-9 here.

We have no reason, given the intermediate markers, to believe that keto diets are unsafe. Every facet points to them being safe.

To prove that low-carb and keto diets are safe in the long-term, we would need a study, a randomised trial, which would cost hundreds of millions of dollars. The study would need to follow people who are randomised to keto diets or other diets, over decades, and to follow them for what we call clinical endpoints, which are usually death or having a heart attack. That study wont get done.

We have no reason, given the intermediate markers, to believe that keto diets are unsafe. Every facet points to them being safe.

Where To Buy Hydrogen Peroxide During The Pandemic

You can find higher concentrations at hydroponic stores and sometimes at gardening stores and hardware stores.

You may be able to find hydrogen peroxide at 12% on Amazon. If they are not sold out the next place I would look is online hydroponic stores.

You can also find some concentrations at beauty supply stores .

So Is The Keto Diet Safe

Is the ketogenic diet safe long-term? No one is exactly sure. Most studies have looked at the KDs effects in humans when the diet is followed for up to one to two years or less.

Longer-term studies conducted on animals have shown the KD may be associated with some adverse events. For example, in rodent studies, some will develop nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and insulin resistance when put on the keto diet long-term. Other studies suggest that some individuals may be predisposed to heart-related problems if they eat a very high-fat diet for an extended period of time.

That being said, the keto diet has been shown to be beneficial in many studies, especially among obese men and women. Research shows that the KD can safely help treat conditions including:

  • Obesity.
  • Type 2 diabetes. It can also reduce the need for medications among type 2 diabetics.
  • Heart disease. The connection between the ketogenic diet and cardiovascular disease risk factors is complicated. Many studies have found that the keto diet can lead to significant reductions in total cholesterol, increases in HDL cholesterol levels, decreases in triglycerides levels, and reductions in LDL cholesterol levels, as well as potential improvements in blood pressure levels.
  • Neurological disorders, including Alzheimers, dementia, Parkinsons and multiple sclerosis.
  • Epilepsy and seizure disorders.
  • Certain types of cancer, including prostate, colon, pancreatic and ovarian cancers.
  • and others.

Lab Alley Recently Added 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide To It’s Chemical Line

AUSTIN, Texas September 15, 2019

Lab Alley recently added 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to it’s chemical line. It is diluted by Lab Alley to 34% before being shipped to customers. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural solution and commonly used for organic chemistry applications. In contrast to “Non-Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide”, 35% hydrogen peroxide does not have toxic stabilizers added to the prepared aqueous solution. This is the reason it is considered “food grade”. Packaging sizes available from the Texas chemical supplier are 1 gallon, 4×1 gallon cases and bulk 55 gallon drums. The rapidly growing firm also sells other concentrations of H2O2 solutions such as 3%, 6%, 10%, 30% and 32%. These solutions are available in various volumes and grades for household and commercial use. The Austin, Texas based bulk chemical supplier quickly transports 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to laboratories, factories, workshops, homes, schools, medical and wellness clinics, individual consumers and farms all across America. Caution must be exercised when handling this high concentration chemical because it can cause skin damage. Therefore, for safety reasons, consumers usually dilute 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to weaker solutions such as 12% or lower, before they use it.

The Ability Of Our Cells To Produce Hydrogen Peroxide Is Essential For Life

Is keto diet safe long term?

H2O2 is not some undesirable by-product or toxin, but instead a basic requirement for good health. Newer research indicates we need hydrogen peroxide for a multitude of other chemical reactions that take place throughout the body. For example, we now know that vitamin C helps fight infections by producing hydrogen peroxide, which in turn stimulates the production of prostaglandins.

Also lactobacilli found in the colon and vagina produce hydrogen peroxide. This destroys harmful bacteria and viruses, preventing colon disease, vaginitis, bladder infections and a host of other common ailments. When lactobacilli in the colon or vaginal tract have been overrun with harmful viruses, yeast or bacteria, an effective douche or enema solution can be made using 3 tablespoons of three percent H2O2 in 1 quart of distilled water. Keep in mind, however, that a good bacterial flora must always be re-established in these areas to achieve lasting results.

While weâre discussing enemas and douches, there’s another misconception about H2O2 I need to address. The friendly bacteria in the colon and vagina are aerobic. In other words, they flourish in high oxygen environments and thrive in the presence of oxygen rich H2O2. On the other hand, most strains of harmful bacteria are anaerobic and cannot survive in the presence of oxygen or H2O2.

Benefits Decrease Over Time

Once again, a ketogenic diet seems to offers numerous short-term benefits such as decreases in body weight, BMI, abdominal circumference, both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride levels, fasting plasma glucose and HbA1c, an increase in HDL cholesterol levels, and no change in LDL cholesterol levels. However, the authors of these three meta-analysis studies suggested a possible duration effect, where benefits seem to decrease over time.1

How Long Does It Last

Pure hydrogen peroxide is a volatile substance that is constantly breaking down to oxygen and water. It never goes “bad”, but due to this natural decomposition it will lose concentration over time.

You can minimize this rate of breakdown to a mere 1-2% PER YEAR by storing it in a cool, dark place. It will decompose faster when exposed to light, air, and temperatures over roughly 70 degrees F. The fridge or freezer are acceptable storage options, although a cabinet that stays cool is also fine.

The volume that is best for you to keep on hand depends greatly on your intended use, as hydrogen peroxide can be used for dozens of purposes for health and around the home! Read through this page thoroughly for dilution ratios and suggested uses.

If you intend to use hydrogen peroxide for only the self medication protocol, please note that the 10 oz bottle of 35% contains enough drops for 3 full protocols.

However if you intend to take advantage of its many uses such as anti aging baths and for disinfecting around your house and home, it is more economical per ounce to order a larger volume and store it properly.

We have all products in stock and are shipping on time, but do be aware that we cannot be sure how long supplies will last given this unprecedented situation the world is facing right now. Thus we encourage you to stock up on this priceless antiviral and disinfectant to share with friends and family in these uncertain times.

Whiten Almost Anything From Fingernails To Grout

Hydrogen peroxide is great at whitening and brightening many items, such as stained tiles, dirty grout and even fingernails. For the latter, combine one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts baking soda and rub the paste on your nails. Let sit for two or three minutes, then rinse away. Voilà! Gorgeous, white nails. For whitening grout, either pour the hydrogen peroxide straight on to the tile or make a paste with baking soda and scrub away.

How To Reincorporate Foods Back Into Your Diet

Because the keto diet requires users to avoid nearly all carbs, its unlike any other diet. If you decide to experiment with going off keto, your best bet is to do so gradually.

A slow transition off keto allows you to avoid pitfalls like binge eating or rapid weight regain while also gauging how your body responds.

Heres how to do it:

  • Stick with healthy, organic whole foods whenever possible: Keto or not, you need to eat healthy foods to stay healthy. Choose wisely.
  • Record your macros and increase carbs incrementally over a period of a few months. Try adding in around 50-75 grams of daily carbs each week at most. After strict keto, your body needs time to readjust.
  • Weigh in regularly and track your results: During and after your transition, pay close

attention to the areas in which you noticed improvement during keto. Bodyweight, body fat percentage, blood sugar, and physical performance are measurable, so remember to monitor them about once a week.

  • Listen to your body: Outside of quantifiable health markers, there are plenty of other important outcomes that affect your quality of life. Check in and notice your mood, energy levels, sleep quality, productivity, and stress levels.
  • Make adjustments when necessary: Depending on your results, you may want to adjust your macros, calories, or food selectionor even return to a keto diet.

And avoid these mistakes:

And if you experience symptoms of IBS or other gut issues, take a closer look at individual foods.
