To make almond flour in a food processor, you need 3 things:

  • Raw, blanched or slivered almonds
  • Food Processor with the blade attachment
  • A silicone spatula
  • The process is simple: To grind almonds into flour, place a cup of almonds in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment and pulse for 50-60 times in 1-second increments. The most important thing here is to stop and scrape the sides of the bowl of the processor every 10 seconds to make sure that they are ground evenly and the almond flour does not turn into almond butter.

    In my experiments, my almonds turned into flour after 50 or 60 1-second pulses, but feel free to stop earlier or continue longer. The whole process of grinding almonds in a food processor takes around 2-3 minutes.
