How To Choose The Perfect Tuna
Canned tuna is the most common to include in your keto recipes, but you can also buy tuna steaks that taste amazing and are perfect for the grill.
- Fresh tuna has a red color, going from the lightest, pinkest, to the darkest shades. Fresh tuna meat has a strong taste and an oily texture. In fact, like salmon, tuna is a fish rich in Omega 3.
- Fresh tuna is often sold in fillets because its skin is quite strong. If you still buy the whole fish, make sure that it does not have any suspicious spots on the bodys surface and that its skin does not shine like a rainbow.
- Canned tuna is delicious in keto sandwiches, keto wraps, and salads. For a healthy option, seek ones made with water or brine.

How To Serve Tuna Salad
This recipe is quite delicious all on its own. I usually just eat it straight from the bowl!
But if you want something a little more fun, I have a few options for you. One of my favorites is to scoop it onto crisp romaine leaves! The lettuce adds extra crunch and holds up under the weight of the tuna mixture.
You could also use low carb tortillas to create a tuna salad wrap. This method is very tasty, but I dont recommend letting the wraps sit for too long as the filling will make the tortillas soggy. A tuna salad wrap is best enjoyed the same day that you make it.
There really isnt a wrong way to enjoy this tasty dish!
