But as far as flavor and texture goes, these cookies leave a lot to be desired. Theyre dry and crumbly, and may not be sweet enough for some people.
If your gut is healthy and youre looking for a vegan cookie that fits keto macros, these keto cookies could be a decent option for you.
But if you arent vegan, there are tastier keto cookies that may satisfy your sweet tooth and provide better nutrition at the same time.

Lenny & Larrys Keto Cookie Flavors: Chocolate Chip Coconut Peanut Butter
Lenny & Larrys regular cookies come in a wide variety of flavors, from snickerdoodle to birthday cake to double chocolate.
Their keto cookies are fairly new, and are starting out with a more modest flavor selection. Currently, there are three flavors of keto cookie:
- Chocolate chip cookie
- Coconut cookie
- Peanut butter cookie
Each flavor has slight variations in ingredients, but is more-or-less the same from a nutritional standpoint.
As far as taste and texture go, these cookies leave a bit to be desired. Theyre very dry and crumbly, likely because of the bean flour they contain. Theyre also slightly grainy, possibly thanks to the pea protein.
The exception is the peanut butter flavor, which holds together a bit better, although its still dry.
All three keto cookies are much less sweet than the original Complete Cookies, which suggests that theyve been modified for a keto dieters palate. If you have a sweet tooth, these cookies likely wont satisfy it .

I love a good Lenny & Larry’s cookie. In fact, sometimes I’ll run across the street to the nearest Duane Reade just so I can eat this scrumptious protein-filled snack at work . My favorites are Snickerdoodle, plain old Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter, all with 16 grams of protein, though I haven’t heard a bad thing about any of the flavors . Now, Lenny & Larry’s has launched a line of keto cookies with only three net carbs.
Each cookie they come in Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and Coconut has 5 grams of fiber and 8 grams of plant-based protein , which means that they’re vegan-friendly . They are gluten-free, too. As for sweetening, all three flavors contain stevia extract.
These keto cookies are now available on the Lenny & Larry’s website for you to buy in bulk. In mid-October, you can find them in Walmart, and they’re coming to Vitamin Shoppe locations in November, a spokesperson confirmed. Ahead, I tested out the three treats to give you a virtual taste. Lenny And Larrys Improves Its Two
Two years ago in 2019, mainstream functional brand Lenny and Larrys released Keto Cookie, a cookie snack with more keto-friendly macros including 8g of protein and 2g of net carbohydrates. The brand has just dropped a new and improved version of that product with a slightly different nutrition profile and what sounds to be a better experience overall.
Lenny and Larrys updated Keto Cookie is the same weight at 45g each, although it has more protein at 9g a cookie, with 17g of fat, 14 to 15g of carbohydrates with 3g of net carbs, only a gram of sugar, and 200 calories. The product is essentially a more nutritionally dense version, still staying within those keto-friendly rules of high fat, moderate protein, and low carbs.
The new and improved Lenny and Larrys Keto Cookie does have fewer flavors to choose from by one, as the originals, Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter, have remained but not Coconut. The brand hasnt said a lot about the taste or texture of the product, only that its new and improved, and has a stronger peanut butter flavor in Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter.
The revamped Lenny and Larrys Keto Cookies are available from its website at $21.95 for a box of a dozen cookies, and if you want to mix it up, there is a variety pack with eight of each at $28.99.

Are Lenny & Larrys Complete Cookies A Good Source Of Protein
Just because something is marketed as a high protein option, it doesnt necessarily mean its the best source of protein.
Theres absolutely nothing wrong with eating a Complete Cookie to get some extra protein in- dont get me wrong.
But there is absolutely something wrong with consuming it instead of actual foods you enjoy, like a fresh-baked homemade cookie, just because you think this is a healthier option.
Look at this nutrition comparison above to put things into perspective.
The live your life diet comes out on top in almost every single category, except having slightly less fiber. You can eat flavored Greek yogurt, flavored almonds , and a beer, and come out with more favorable macros than a single protein cookie.
This example can be any combination of foods, or that oatmeal raisin cookie referenced in the graphic before this one, but the point remains the same.
Just because a food isnt labeled as healthy or protein whatever, it doesnt mean its bad for you. You can pair a beer, which most view as empty calories, with some delicious, healthy snacks and still be well within your goals.
You dont need to rely on a Complete Cookie because it says its high-protein.
Learning to read and understand nutrition labels is the best gift you can give yourself.
