Review Of Peanut Butter Chocolate
Ease of eating: It is coated in chocolate which leads me to recommend to keep it in the packaging and slide it out to eat.
Visual appeal: Nice and thick bar coated in a thin layer of chocolate. Inside you can visibly see bits of peanuts and what I believe are crisps.
My texture review: It has some crunch thanks to what I believe are crisps. Not at all like the original Quest protein bars.
My taste review: It reminds me a bit of Snickers without the big peanut chunks and the liquid caramel. It is sweet but not too sweet. Good balance of peanut and chocolate. No sweetener taste or after taste.
Overall: I like this bar unlike the original Quest nutrition bars. This reminds me more of a candy bar I would have taken to the movies as a sweet treat. Not something for every day but as a little endulgence here and there.
Quick notes on Vanilla Caramel: My first thought was sweeet. The coating is light. Like white chocolate. The caramel was more liquid and again I enjoyed the puffy crisp texture. The smell reminded me of a caramel macchiato.
Quick notes on Chocolate Caramel Pecan: Thick chocolate coating. Iwish this had a stronger Pecan taste. Unfortunately, for me the flavor did not come through. I did however taste the chocolate and caramel. For this one, again the caramel was not liquid or as pictures though and had a more firmer texture.

The Reason For Confusion
As with all the low-carb products, the box says “3g of net carbs”, but when you look at the nutrition information, it says 23g of carbs and 2g of sugar.
What’s up with that?

- To clarify the situation, when you check the carbs of any product and evaluate its keto-friendliness, you need to calculate the net carb count, not the total carb count on the package.
- How should you do that? The calculation is simple. You subtract the fiber and sugar alcohol from the total carb count, and you will get net carbs per product.
Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrates Fiber Sugar Alcohols/Glycerin
So in this example, the calculation would be:
3g = 23g – 12g – 8g
