One key difference between the keto diet and Atkins is the amount of protein youre allowed to take in. Theres no cap on Atkins, while keto limits protein to about 20 percent of your daily calories.

Let me start by saying that protein shake recipes vary a ton! Many shakes are made with a base of milk, or fruit, or even juice. These ingredients are obviously not great if youre following a low carb diet, like most us here are doing.

So before you drink, make sure to choose better-for-you low carb protein shakes! This recipe fits the bill.

The 15 grams of protein makes this shake ideal for post-workout on a keto diet, though we also like it for breakfast or mixed with coffee as a creamer.

Perhaps the biggest reason to like this mix is the ingredient list, which is comprehensive and includes collagen powder, MCT powder, and protein powder all in one. We also like the 20 grams of fat content, one gram of net carbs, and zero sugar.
